This comprehensive sound production diploma is designed to produce graduates equipped for a career in audio production. You will learn from experienced audio professionals in the areas of recording, mixing and mastering of audio. Upon completion, you will receive a recognized diploma from ICOM that is approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).
In recording audio, you will learn and demonstrate recording skills for both the live and studio environment. You will focus on microphone techniques and placement, room acoustics, PA system set-ups and work on leading audio software.
In mixing audio, you will use multiple software and plugins to provide the perfect blend of audio. You will work with DAWs to produce music ranging from acapella to a large band. From designing, editing and synchronizing sound for visuals, you will produce audio works at industry standards.
In mastering audio, you will analyze and learn from professionals from past to present the art of mastering audio for public release. In addition to your coursework requirements, you also have the opportunity to work on college and external projects.
