Who should enroll for Certificate in Audio Production?
Certificate in Audio Production (CAP)is designed as a fast
track to the world of audio production. Anyone wishing to
pursue a career in the entertainment industry, specializing
in audio production must consider completing CAP. This programme
will act as your gateway to the endless opportunities in
today's rapidly changing music and entertainment industry.
2. What
is the difference between Certificate in Audio Production
and Bachelor of Music degree in MP&T?
Certificate in Audio Production is a certificate
programme, approved by Malaysian ministry of education and
certified by ICOM, where as B. Mus is an undergraduate degree
programme validated by the University of Westminster, London
and approved by MoE. Modules covered under the B. Mus curriculum
are broader in theoretical aspects and covers both technical
and creative aspects of music production in a detailed manner.
CAP curriculum is focused on hands-on training and a shorter
course length for those who want to hit the industry with
more of a vocational training.

Is there a placement assistance Service?
At the moment, there are no formal placement assistance
services at ICOM. The Department of MP&T is in the process
of establishing such a system in the near future, and is
currently developing a database of prospective employers
and HR contacts.
4. What are
the prospects for a career in music or audio engineering?
There are numerous options of careers for
our graduates. Please refer to "careers
in MP&T" for these options. In parallel
to the continuous growth of the music industry, the need
for qualified music professionals is steadily increasing.
From producers to engineers to technicians, the industry
is always on the lookout for graduates, who have the edge
of formal training. For the record, a majority of our graduates
secure employment while still in their final year of study.
5. What
are the minimum requirements to enroll for programme's under

6. Does ICOM provide accommodation?
At present, ICOM does not provide student
accommodation .However we are more than willing to assist
students in securing accommodation. Most of our outstation
students stay at the Heritage Condominium which is a mere
10 minute walk from ICOM. Students pay between RM 300 to
RM 450 for a room, depending on its size and facilities
offered.

7. Can I pay my fees by installment?
Yes, the college allows students to pay
fees in two or four installments. Our counselor will be
happy to provide you with further information pertaining
to the fee payment.
