Entry Requirement (Local Students)

Bachelor of Music (Hons) In Professional Music - Students seeking enrolment in to the Bmus (Hons) in Professional Music must have completed the Foundation Certificate in Music or the Berklee Transfer Program with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.

Foundation Certificate In Music - Students entering the Foundation Certificate in Music must meet the following criteria:

1) 5 credits in SPM or any other equivalent academic qualification or better.

2) Attend the entrance audition, music theory placement test and English placement test. Please click here for audition guideline and ICOM’s sample music theory requirement.

Students who don't meet the minimum standards based on the audition results will be either required to enroll for remedial classes to improve on their instrumental skills, music theory and English language skills or recommended for other programs offered within the college.Students should plan to pay extra tuition fees for the remedial classes.

To apply into the Foundation Certificate In Music:

Upon approval, the candidate will be given a Letter of Acceptance in to the Foundation Certificate In Music. The Letter of Acceptance would also serve as a guide in the registration process.
