This comprehensive diploma is designed to produce graduates with a wide range of unique skill sets in music business. Upon completion, you will receive a recognized diploma from ICOM that is approved by Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

What You Would Study

In Music Business, you will learn about the types of businesses that are closely related to music making, publishing, recording, retailing, promotion, distribution and management.

In Artist And Event Management, you will learn the scope and function of the artist manager in launching and developing successful careers for artists’, and develop skills to manage concerts and events.

In Music Publishing, you will learn about acquire and protect music copyrights from exploitation through licensing and how to negotiate publishing contracts.

Entry Requirement

  • Malaysian students: Minimum 3 SPM credits, with pass in Bahasa Melayu and History.
  • International students:
    • Minimum IGCSE or High school completion equivalent to O-level, with minimum 3 credits.
    • English language competency certificates such as IELTS 4.0/ TOEFL iBT (30-31) / Cambridge English Qualification and Test (140) / Pearson Test of English (36) / MUET (Band 2).
  • Students with prior professional work experience may consult our admissions counselors to inquire on credit transfer options.
